The Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) seeks an Energy Finance Analyst whose primary focus currently will be the petrochemical energy sector. In addition, the ideal analyst must be committed to IEEFA's mission to accelerate the transition to a diverse, sustainable and profitable energy economy.
IEEFA is an independent (501(c)(3) think tank that works closely with policymakers, thought leaders, consumers and stakeholders. Headquartered in the United States, IEEFA has a team of analysts and communications personnel located across the globe producing a significant volume of original research on issues affecting energy industries. Our major reports, commentaries, and other resources are found on our website: www.ieefa.org.
The petrochemicals industry is undergoing rapid change. The energy finance analyst produces new research and clear-thinking analysis that crystallizes the fundamental changes driving the industry. Work products are designed to promote institutional changes related to the financial structure of companies and the industry, greenhouse gas and toxic chemical emissions, and ocean contamination.
The research supports policy decision makers in government, corporations, non-profit organizations, labor unions, and third-party groups as they navigate the rapid changes taking place. Such research will be produced for IEEFA publications, formal submission to governmental bodies, various media, and presentations in professional, legislative, regulatory, and nonprofit trade venues.
Part of IEEFA’s mission supports a broader participatory process for organizations unfamiliar with financial institutions. The successful candidate will also assist with the research and design of information to train lay audiences in the petrochemical field.
The successful candidate can expect a dynamic, solid career experience, with opportunities for independent thinking, rigorous research, professional growth, and the production of a body of literature that makes a cogent and influential contribution to the dialogue of sustainable industry and climate policy.
This is a “remote work” position; IEEFA invites qualified international candidates to apply.
